Formed by Brisbane vocalist Timothy Carroll and Melbourne guitarist Oscar Dawson, the band came to be over many years and continents. The duo crafted their debut record while living in Stockholm and Berlin, demoing tracks in apartments, stairwells and snow covered studios. The pair returned to Australia to record, covering a wide pallet of sounds with nods to Neil Young, Midlake, The National and Bright Eyes.

Holy Holy have had 11 songs on rotation on Triple J in Australia, with the stunning True Lovers hitting #40 in Triple J’s Hottest 100. They’ve sold out headline tours in Australia, played festivals such as Splendour, Falls, Bluesfest, Woodford and Yours & Owls, toured the UK, The Netherlands, Germany and Spain and played at Primavera, London Calling & The Great Escape.

Lyrical and story based, their music revels in huge builds and crescendos. Lush production, mixing distorted duelling guitars with warm harmonies, reverb soaked piano lines and wild percussive rhythms. Holy Holy are on the cusp of releasing a third record in 2019, which is unlike anything you’ve heard from the duo before!

“Holy Holy have the infectious urgency of a band reinventing itself” - THE AGE

“Different is good, change is good - new Holy Holy is even better” – TRIPLE J
